The Kid-Zone

     Recently we renovated the Emergency Room of the former
hospital, turning the 1st floor on the Northeast side of the building
into 5,000 square feet of children's space. We have learned
that part of holistic healing includes a curriculum that teaches,
on a child's level, much of what the mothers are learning in an
out of the box creative environment. And, within the next few
months, volunteers will have turned a pile of lumbar into an
out of sight kids' play yard on the grassy acre adjoining
our property!

     Classes in the Kid-Zone are broken down by age - and are
age graded. (birth-18 months; 18 months-30 months; 31 months
to 4 years; 4-6 years old; 6 and above). Teacher ratios and quotas
follow the strictest state guidelines to ensure safety and the
maximization of the full learning potential of our children. Currently,
The Lovelady houses over 250 women and about 50 of their
children full-time.
